IPL is one of the richest T20 men’s cricket leagues in the world. And this season BCCI is ready to earn Rs 800 Crore from IPL 2022 sponsorships and other brand deals. The latest edition is expected to begin on 26th march with TATA as the league’s new title sponsor.

Apart from TATA, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has signed deals with RuPay and Swiggy Instamart as new IPL key sponsors. The board has signed a contract of Rs 42 crore per annum with RuPay and Rs 44 crore per annum with Swiggy Instamart.

BCCI Expected to earn Rs 800 crore from IPL 2022 Sponsorships

Board of Control for Cricket in India is expected to get revenue of Rs 800 crore from IPL 2022 sponsorships. This will be the highest sum of money for the BCCI since the league began in 2008.

The amount has grown this season because the number of sponsors for the IPL has increased, and TATA is poised to pay a massive amount for title sponsorship.

Despite the fact that TATA will pay less than VIVO was expected to pay the IPL as title Sponsors. The reports say that the VIVO’s title sponsorship contract has been shifted to TATA in such a way that the Chinese phone manufacturers will bear the entire loss.

The Contract of BCCI with TATA for IPL 2022 Sponsorship for Title

The board of Control for Cricket in India had an agreement with VIVO that paid them Rs 440 crore per season. And the contract was supposed to last till 2023 but due to some issues, BCCI decided not to continue with VIVO as IPL 2022 sponsorships for the title.

The title sponsorship of IPL 2022 was given to TATA who will pay them Rs 335 crore per season. Whereas VIVO paid Rs 440 crore per season. VIVO will be responsible to recover a loss of Rs 105 crore.
