Getting Pandya out was Rajasthan Royals’ best chance of crawling back into the game. But David Miller and Shubman Gill carried them home with another fine stand of 47 runs, with Miller also lofting Ashwin for six-over midwicket. This brought the score to a successful conclusion. Appropriately, Gill brought things to a close by hitting another six, which made short work of the pursuit.
The surface of the field, which had been used for a game a few days earlier, was rather stickier than usual because of this previous use. Additionally, this was the reason that Sanju Samson, the captain of the team, wanted to bat first in order to save extra wear and strain. And it was worse than expected when it came to fruition. In general, Rajasthan was unable to get the boundaries. They ended up getting a total of only 13.
It all started when Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan seized charge of the middle overs with the ball. These three dismissals destroyed the spine of Rajasthan’s batting lineup. His three wickets for seventeen also gave Gujarat some breathing room with their bowling choices even while Riyan Parag and the rest of the team were trying to get a final assault off.
