BBL 2022

BBL 2022: As a direct result of the Big Bash League holding its very first-ever international auction, it is believed that the subsequent season will be a very successful one. The 12th season of the Big Bash League will begin in December 2022 and continue until February 2023. The first match of the season will take place on December 13, 2022, at Manuka Oval and feature a matchup between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars. Since the one-day international series against South Africa has been postponed, only a select few of Australia’s most notable players will be able to take part in the competition for the time being.

BBL 2022: Format details

During the 2022–2023 season of the Big Bash League, each of the clubs will compete against one another in a total of 56 league matches. Following those matches, there will be five knockout games played across Australia at various venues. Following an elimination round, a qualification round, a knockout round, and a challenger round, the championship match will take played on February 4th.

The date of the BBL Eliminator has been set for January 27th, the dates of the BBL Qualifier and Knockout round have been set for January 28th and 29th, and the BBL Final 2022 is set for February 4th.

Both the Sydney Sixers and the Perth Scorchers have reached the BBL finals in each of the past two years of the competition. In the ninth iteration of the competition, the Sixers were victorious over the Scorchers, and they took home the championship. In a twist of fate, the Sixers were the team that Perth had to beat in order to take home the cup the year before.

The KFC BBL12 campaign is shaping up to bring everything that we appreciate more about Big Bash, including world-class players, stadiums packed with local spectators, and some of the most entertaining evenings that this summer has to offer.
