India vs England: England’s squad for the 4th Test, Woakes and Mark Wood return to the team

Fast Bowler Mark Andrew Wood and all-rounder Chris Woakes were included in England’s squad for the fourth Test against India after being fully fit.

Wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler will not able to play in India vs England 4th test match, due to the birth of the wife’s second child.

Silverwood confirmed that Jonny Bairstow will keep wickets at The Oval in Buttler’s absence but England has added Billings, who has yet to make a Test debut, to the squad as a backup in case of injury or illness issues. It is not clear yet, Will Buttler returns to the squad for the final Test at Emirates Old Trafford. Which begins on Friday 10 September

Mark Wood’s injured his right shoulder while fielding during the second Test at Lord’s, while Woakes has also recovered from a heel injury, Which kept him away from international cricket after the one-day series against Pakistan in July. Woakes played in a domestic T20 team on Friday. In the absence of key players like Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer, it will be good for the team to include Woakes.

In Buttler’s absence, Jonny Bairstow will take over the responsibility of wicketkeeping. Sam Billings has been included in the team as the reserve wicketkeeper. Fast bowler Saqib Mahmood has been dropped from the team. The fourth Test will be played from September 2 at the Kennington Oval ground in London. At present, the 5-match series is tied at 1-1.
