The Indian cricket team will be traveling to Bangladesh immediately after their match in New Zealand. On December 4, India will begin their tour of Bangladesh with a three-match One-Day International series, which will be followed by two Test matches. Rohit Sharma will serve as the captain for India’s One-Day International and Test teams. Both sides have released their respective rosters and published their game schedules.

At the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on December 4, 2022, beginning at 13:00 local time, the first one-day international game between Bangladesh and India will be played. This match will take place between the two countries in Bangladesh.

India tour of Bangladesh: An Overview

The Future Tour Programs (FTP) were first announced by the International Cricket Council earlier in 2009 and include a scheduled international bilateral series between India and Bangladesh in 2022. This series will be known as the India Tour of Bangladesh.

Beginning on December 4, 2022, Bangladesh will play home to the bilateral series that is a part of India’s Tour to Bangladesh.

After finishing their series with the Kiwis on November 30, the tourists will be heading to Bangladesh, where they will play their first one-day international (ODI) match on December 4 and their last test match on December 26, which is the day after Christmas.

Following the first one-day international encounter, the next two games are scheduled to take place on December 7 and December 10, and then they will move on to play the test matches on December 22 and December 26, respectively. The entirety of the series will be played across two distinct locations.

The first match will take place at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, which is the capital of the home nation, and the second will take place at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Replacement for Jadeja

Shahbaz Ahmed, an all-rounder for Bengal, has been selected to replace Jadeja in the one-day international squad that will play its first match on December 4 in Mirpur. Yash Dayal, a left-arm seamer for Uttar Pradesh, has been ruled out of the match due to a problem with his lower back. This is the other change. Kuldeep Sen, a fast bowler from Madhya Pradesh, will take his position in the lineup.

Sen and Shahbaz were both scheduled to fly to New Zealand to participate in the one-day international series that will begin in Auckland on Friday. As a result, they will not be able to participate in that series and will instead go to Bangladesh.

The current form of the replacements

During the current iteration of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Shahbaz has been in dominant form, accumulating 11 wickets in six matches while keeping his economy rate at 4.87 throughout 51.2 overs. Additionally, with the bat, he has contributed two half-centuries while batting lower in the order. Sen, on the other hand, has taken the most wickets in the league up until the group stage. He has done so by collecting 18 wickets over the course of six games, with his best performance coming against Punjab when he took 5 for 36.

At the time that the squad was announced, the inclusion of Jadeja was contingent on his being physically able to participate. It is possible that the left-arm spinner from Uttar Pradesh, Saurabh Kumar, will be included in the tour party if he is not ready to play in the two-Test series that will immediately follow.

Dravid in hopes of Jadeja’s full recovery
