Virat Kohli will leave the Captaincy of RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore Captain Virat Kohli will leave the Captaincy of RCB after the current Indian Premier League season. The 32 years old Virat Kohli is one of the most successful players in the franchise.

In a statement issued by RCB, Virat Kohli said that this will be my last IPL as the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Virat Kohli will continue to play for RCB.

Kohli announced his decision to step down as RCB captain on Sunday, two days after announcing his decision to step down as captain of the national team after next month’s T20 World Cup.

“This will be my last IPL as captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore. I’ll continue to be a Royal Challengers Bangalore player till I play my last IPL game. I thank all the RCB  fans for believing in me and supporting me. It has been a wonderful and inspiring journey with RCB.”
