Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Royal Challengers Bangalore

This is the most famous rivalry among the history IPL rivalries. This rivalry began on the first match of the inaugural season of IPL in 2008. Brendon McCullum the skipper of KKR lit up the match by brilliantly scoring a total of 158 and destroying RCB in the very first match of IPL history. Royal Challengers Bangalore finished the season in 7th position as they couldn’t recover from this huge loss.

Virat Kohli vs. Gautam Gambhir

This is the most famous among the Individual Players IPL rivalries between RCB’s skipper Virat Kohli and KKR’s Captain Gautam Gambhir the reason for this rivalry is nothing personal but it was influenced by the rivalry between the teams.

In IPL season 2013, it was the 12th match between KKR and RCB, it was the first ball of the 10th over bowled by Balaji. Kohli tried to hit for a six but was caught in the sweeper cover region.

As Gambhir and other Players were celebrating the dismissal in the cover region, Virat Kohli instead of going back to the pavilion walked towards short extra cover and made a remark soon after that KKR’s skipper Gautam Gambhir was seen walking angrily towards Kohli and got involved in a verbal dispute with him. Gautam Gambhir is also responsible for many other IPL rivalries.

Mitchell Starc vs. Kieron Pollard

In IPL season 2014 it was the 27th match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the 17th over of first innings

On Start 4th ball of the over Pollard tried to hit a huge shot but missed. Starc was ready to Bowl the 5th ball pollard waved his hand and send him back, Starc was again ready to deliver the 5th ball, and then something unsettled pollard and he backed away.

However this time Starc decided to deliver the ball. It is not clear whether he spotted pollard backing off or was too late to pull up the delivery, Pollard thought he was intentionally attacked and responded by throwing the bat on Starc. Luckily the bat slipped out of his hand, then the dispute was solved by Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers.

Rahul Dravid vs. Gautam Gambhir

Another famous rivalry among Individual IPL rivalries is in between Rahul Dravid and Gautam Gambhir it was the 8th match of IPL season 2013 in the 5th over of the KKR’s innings Rajasthan Royals Skipper Rahul Dravid and Kolkata Knight Riders Captain Gautam Gambhir got involved in a verbal dispute.

First Manvindra Bisla of KKR and Shane Watson of RR got into a verbal duel when Shane Watson threatened to throw a ball at the batsman. RR’s skipper Rahul Dravid tried to calm down Bisla but Gautam Gambhir entered into the dispute.

In the next over, when Gautam Gambhir was stumped by Dinesh Yagnik, it is said that Gautam Gambhir again used some abusive words to Rahul Dravid before walking to the pavilion. Gautam Gambhir is also responsible for many other IPL rivalries.
