Sania Mirza journey as a tennis player

Sania Mirza started her career as a tennis player in the year 2003. She brought various trophies at national as well as international levels in singles as well as doubles category.

In the same year, she started her journey by playing in major tournaments and competitions. In the year 2003 itself, she won the girl’s double title at the Wimbledon championship and also won the semi-finals of US Open Girls Doubles in the same year itself.

Talking about her style of playing in the technical sense, Sania’s forehand was one of the key reasons she was able to compete with the best singles players at the start of her career.

While she had a few flaws in her game, her forehand was so distinctive that it frequently appeared on lists of the “greatest forehands in the game.” Sania has a good backhand, but her serve is vulnerable and inconsistent.

Her mobility isn’t fantastic, though, which makes extended rallies and matches difficult for her. Sania began her career as an aggressive baseliner, but when her concentration switched to doubles, she began to attack the net more frequently.

Her volleys have improved over time, and she was occasionally able to match Hingis’ elegance at the net throughout their partnership.

The year 2003 came out to be lucky for Sania Mirza, and in that year she also won four gold medals in the Afro Asian Games that was held in Hyderabad.
