Jos Buttler

England’s opener Jos Buttler continued his astounding form in this IPL season with 116 off 65 balls (his 3rd century of the season). He becomes the second player to score three centuries in an IPL season after Virat Kohli, who scored 4 in 2016.

With seven more league stage matches to play, plus possible fixtures in the Play-off stage Buttler could break Indian batsmen Virat Kohli’s record of 973 runs in the 2016 season, the record of most runs by a player in an IPL season.

Jos Buttler’s century follows 103 against Shreyas Iyer’s Kolkata Knight Riders in his previous Match and 100 against Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians earlier in the league. Butler has scored four centuries in his last eight IPL innings, including the 2021 season.
