The Ahmedabad-based franchise of the Indian Premier League 2022 is owned by the CVC Capital which is officially known as Gujarat Titans. The franchise is sold to CVC Capital for a price of Rs 5625 crore. The home ground of Gujarat Titans IPL 2022 will be the Narendra Modi Stadium, in Motera, Ahmedabad. The Titans along with the second new franchise Lucknow Super Giants earmarked to become part of the IPL towards the end of 2021.

Hardik Pandya will lead Gujarat Titans in the inaugural year as a captain in the 15^th season of the Indian Premier League 2022. Ashish Nehra former India pacer will be the head coach of Gujarat Titans 2022. After the three signings, Gujarat Titans entered the mega auction with a purse value of Rs 52 crore. Vikram Solanki the former England batsman is appointed as the Director of cricket for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022. Ashish Kapoor and Gary Kristen are spin bowling and batting coach of the franchise.

On day 2 the Titans caught the latest eight entrants in their squad. Some expensive buys of Gujarat Titans on day 2 are as follows: Yash Dayal at Rs 3.20 crore, David Miller at Rs 3 crore. Alzarri Joseph and Matthew Wade are acquired by Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 at Rs 2.40 crore each. Wriddhiman Saha at Rs 1.90 crore, Jayant Yadav at Rs 1.70 crore, Vijay Shankar at Rs 1.40 crore, and Dominic Drakes at Rs 1.10 crore.

Varun Aaron and Gurkeerat Singh at Rs 50 lakhs each. And with its base price, Gujarat Titans buy Darshan Nalkande at Rs 20 lakh. In the end, Gujarat Titans completed their squad by acquiring 20 players from the Indian Premier League mega auction 2022 and 3 players from the draft ahead of the IPL auction 2022.
