2020 Caribbean Premier League Starts 18th August
The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is all set to start from the 18th of August. This is the first major T20 series being played since all major leagues and series have either been postponed due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic or cancelled.
The CPL 2020, which starts on 18th of next month, will see the 6 Caribbean teams battle it out in 33 matches. The final of this year’s edition is going to be played on 10th September, 2020. The matches are scheduled to be played in only 2 stadiums in Trinidad. These matches are going to be played without audiences (to maintain safety) but are expected to get fans glued to their TV sets and devices to see the live telecast.
This series will bring a fresh and renewed interest back to cricket and with T20 enjoying huge fan following will see a lot of engagement come back to the sport. Cricket fans have been waiting for their favorite format of the game to make a comeback.
